Our pugio is based on several basically identical finds from Dangstetten, the Titelberg, the Lorenzberg and the Döttenbichl near Oberammergau. The majority of finds from this period has simple frame sheaths, so we decided to make an undecorated version. Proportions and slightly crude execution are very close to the originals. Our model is not oversized, like most pugio models on the market are. We have now worked our previous model over, it is now available as AER/DG/1502-IMP. See the new pictures below. The handle is now made exactly like the originals, the scbbard comes in plain wood, which you may paint as you like, or leave it as it is.
