We take special pride in our line of Roman shoes. All were tested under authentic conditions  successfully during two long marches conducted by the Universities of Regensburg and Augsburg, 2008 by LEG III ITAL and 2010 by LEG XIII GEM.

Mild steel hand forged hobnails. These are proper for impressions after 9 BCE (Dangstetten). No flash from forging die along the sides, long and thin nail, not hardened.

Burlafingen Helmet. This helmet dates in the early first century AD, and is classiefied in the Robinson-categories as „Coolus G“.  Our model is made in brass. We slightly increased width and length of the skull, the rest of the measurements is as on the original. This makes the appearance of the neck-guard a bit smaller than on the original.

Mannheim Coolus. This helmet dates in the later first century BC. It is generally connected to the Gallic wars, but was in use well into the Augustan era.
